Cannot hide Skype on startup on my MacBook Pro? - Microsoft Community
Fred Smythe Replied on May 9, Your steps do not solve the problem. The fact is that the Skype app does not respect the Hide setting because it's considering the contact list window separate from the app itself, and inexplicably there seems to be no option in the Mac app for "hide Contact list on startup" that every other version of the app I have ever seen appears to have. This needs to be fixed but the first step is MS acknowledging it's actually a problem.
